AP/AR Clerk – US
Department: Accounting | Division: Finance | Reports to: Finance Director | Exempt: No
IPCO-NAFTA is seeking an AP/AR Clerk to manage accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions with accuracy and efficiency. This role supports financial operations by ensuring vendor payments and customer invoices are processed on time, reconciled properly, and maintained in compliance with company policies.
Key Responsibilities
• Process outgoing payments in line with company financial procedures
• Verify, classify, and record AP data; reconcile AP ledger for accuracy
• Assist with month-end closing procedures and financial reporting
• Generate and send accurate customer invoices on time
• Monitor incoming payments and post to appropriate accounts
• Follow up on overdue invoices and support collection efforts
• Reconcile AR aging reports; prepare periodic AR reports for management
• Collaborate with sales and customer service to resolve payment issues
• Maintain organized financial records for both AP and AR transactions
• Support credit checks and help establish credit limits for new customers
Qualifications
• Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
• 4+ years of experience in AP and/or AR roles
• Strong understanding of bookkeeping and AP/AR principles
• Hands-on experience with accounting software and Microsoft Office
• High accuracy, organizational skills, and confidentiality in handling data
Work Conditions
• On-site role; temporary-to-permanent opportunity based on performance
• Primarily office-based with moderate noise level
