Company: NECM & IPCO (Global Industrial Manufacturing Group, $50M+ operation)
About the Role
NECM & IPCO is seeking a strategic and hands-on FP&A professional to join our finance team. This role will act as the key business partner to our Senior Accountant and Regional Controller, helping to translate financial data into insights that drive decision-making and support profitable growth.
This is not a “maintenance” role—it’s an entrepreneurial opportunity for someone eager to build robust FP&A capabilities, bring structure to financial planning, and roll up their sleeves in a growing, global industrial company. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical rigor with business acumen and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
Key Responsibilities
- Business Partnering
- Act as the finance liaison to Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Commercial teams.
- Collaborate closely with accounting to bridge actuals vs. forecast, explain variances, and support decision-making.
- Provide leadership with clear, actionable insights on financial and operational performance.
- Budgeting & Forecasting
- Lead the annual budget process and build robust rolling forecasts.
- Partner with functional leaders to set realistic assumptions for sales, costs, and capital expenditures.
- Track performance against plans, highlighting risks, opportunities, and corrective actions.
- Financial Analysis & Reporting
- Develop and maintain monthly performance reports, dashboards, and KPIs.
- Analyze gross margin, operating profit, and project-level profitability, especially in connection with Percentage-of-Completion (POC) projects.
- Build financial models to evaluate standard labor rates, project profitability, and cost savings opportunities.
- Lead the monthly, quarterly and YE group finance reporting cycles
- Work with Global Group Finance team in all aspects of Month end close, internal controls and management reporting activities
- Cash Flow & Working Capital
- Support cash flow forecasting, scenario planning, and liquidity management.
- Partner with Accounting on AR/AP analysis, inventory optimization, and capital allocation decisions.
- Strategic & Project Support
- Provide financial support for ERP/system upgrades (Jobscope, M3, SAP, Power BI).
- Contribute to long-term financial strategy, including capacity expansion, cost reduction initiatives, and project tracking and profitability analysis.
- Support leadership presentations to global Group Finance, Board, and external stakeholders.
What We’re Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA or CFA a plus).
- 5+ years of FP&A or Finance experience (industrial manufacturing or project-based business preferred).
- Strong skills in financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting.
- Proven ability to act as a business partner—explaining financials to non-finance leaders in clear, actionable terms.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI, and financial reporting tools. SQL or ERP (Jobscope, M3, SAP) experience strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow interdependencies.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
- Entrepreneurial mindset: ability to work independently, prioritize in ambiguity, and drive improvements with minimal direction.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting project-based or POC revenue recognition businesses.
- Exposure to manufacturing, engineering, or supply chain cost drivers.
- Knowledge of IFRS/US GAAP accounting principles and financial controls.
- Implementation of ERP systems
