After Market Sales Specialist
We are recruiting an After Market Specialist to strengthen our sales team in Milan.
Your main area of focus will be to promote the After Market Sales, in accordance with the sales strategy defined with the IPCO Italy Sales team and IPCO Global organization.
Target market segments will be chemical, food, tire production, composite materials, and other smaller ones.
You will report to the Belts Manager of IPCO Italy.

Main Responsibilities:
- As After Market Specialist, you will have the responsibility for promoting sales, in line with the organization’s current and long-term strategies, objectives and plans
- Create order offers/quotations and submit them to the customers promptly and efficiently
- Focused on our After Market products like steel belts, spare parts, services and services agreements.
Key Tasks:
- Work in respect of Fair Play, Code of Conduct and Core Values of IPCO. To work according to current Company strategy and guidelines, as instructed by the Belts Manager, demonstrating a willingness to change and adopt new working practices
- Develop customers to their full potential and to maximum profitability
- Maintain close customer contact, either visiting and by telephone
- Any commercial activity like customer visits, phone calls, offers, etc. must be planned and reported on the appropriate system (Dynamics 365)
- Identify and develop new business, new applications for steel belts
- Remain up-to-date on customers’ business and anticipate their needs and requirements
- Where appropriate, to offer technical advice to customers
- Where required, to support the Belts Manager and the Service Manager in establishing annual customer sales forecasts
- Together with the Belts Manager, to review any customers falling short of target, taking action where appropriate
- Utilize all relevant IT tools
- Ensure that customer service levels are maintained, e.g. that enquiries, orders and complaints are handled efficiently and followed up
- Ensure that customer records and contacts are updated in the appropriate systems (Dynamics 365), together with any relevant customer information
- Be continually aware of customers’ current financial status and follow up on credit matters if required
- To gather and feedback market intelligence, e.g. price levels, competitor activities, market trends, new products
- Work on own initiative, but also to work as an efficient team member, providing support and assistance where required
- Prepare quotations for Steel Belts, Spare Parts and Service together with the Belts Manager and the Service Manager
- To properly cooperate with the Inside Sales Belts, Service Manager and Service technicians, Service Inside Sales and Spare Parts office.
- To properly interact with the local Technical Dept. and local Equipment Sales organization.
- Work according to IPCO Procedures
Education:
- Technical degree or similar
Language skills
- Good standard of English, both spoken and written. Other language skills are appreciated.
IT Skills
- Good Knowledge of the most common Office software
Other requirements
- Minimum of three years’ relevant, preferably industry specific working experience
- A good general technical background
- A previous experience in the technical components & services for chemical and food industry segments could be a plus
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to communicate at all levels, both internally & externally
- Well-organized, self-motivated and problem-solving approach
- Good negotiation Skills
- Willing to develop new business opportunities
- Open minded and willing to adopt and implement new ways of working, embrace new challenges
