Field Sales Specialist - Powder Paint Production Equipment
We are recruiting a Filed Sales Specialist to strengthen our sales team in Milan.
Your main area of focus will be to sell and promote the Powder Paint Production Equipment, in accordance with the sales strategy determined with the IPCO Equipment Sales Manager/GPM Powder Paint.
You will report to the Equipment Sales manager of IPCO Italy. We provide an environment with fast decisions, high trust in employees and freedom under responsibility.
Main Responsibilities:
- As Field Sales Specialist, you will have the responsibility for nurturing sales, in line with the organization’s current and long-term strategies, objectives and plans. You will have the main responsibility is to meet sales and profitability targets, as agreed with the Equipment Sales manager.
- To create order offers/quotations and provide these to the customer promptly and efficiently.
- Support customers by means of feasibility tests carried out c/o powder paint test center
Key Tasks:
- To work according to current Company strategy and guidelines, as instructed by the Equipment Sales Manager, demonstrating a willingness to change and adopt new working practices
- To develop customers in the Italian market to their full potential and profitability
- Where needed, to support other IPCO local sales organization in the business in particular in the EMEA region
- To maintain close customer contact, either by telephone and/or visiting
- Any commercial activity like customer visits, phone calls, offers, etc. must be planned and reported on the appropriate system (Dynamics 365)
- To remain up-to-date on customers’ business and anticipate their needs and requirements
- Besides new equipment to focus on selling spare parts and technical services
- Where appropriate, to offer technical advice to customers
- Where required, to support the Equipment Sales Manager in establishing annual customer sales forecasts
- Together with the Equipment Sales Manager, to review any customers falling short of target, taking action where appropriate
- To utilize all relevant IT tools
- To ensure that customer service levels are maintained, e.g. that enquiries, orders and complaints are handled efficiently and followed up
- To ensure that customer records and contacts are updated in the appropriate systems (Dynamics 365), together with any relevant customer information
- To be continually aware of customers’ current financial status and follow up on credit matters if required
- To gather and feedback market intelligence, e.g. price levels, competitor activities, market trends, new products
- To work on own initiative, but also to work as an efficient team member, providing support and assistance where required
- To produce quotations for Powder Paint Production Equipment, together with the Technical Manager / Project Leader
- To work according to IPCO Procedures
- To work in the respect for IPCO Fair Play, Code of Conduct and Core Values
Education
- Bachelor degree in Science or Engineering or business and administration, or other relevant education, or a similar level of appropriate, documented technical experience
Language skills
- Good standard of English, both spoken and written. Other language skills are appreciated.
IT Skills
- Good Knowledge of the most common Office software
Other requirements
- Minimum of three years’ relevant, preferably industry specific working experience
- A good general technical background
- Previous experience in the powder coating or extrusion technology market segment is preferable
- Strong verbal, interpersonal and presentation skills, able to communicate at all levels, both internally & externally
- Well-organised, self-motivated and problem-solving approach
- Good negotiation Skills
- Willing to develop new business opportunities
- Open minded and willing to adopt and implement new ways of working, embrace new challenges
- Team player
- Driver’s license
